The temperatures plunged once again and yes, we still have icicles. Winter still has my city in its icy grasp. Although I have grown somewhat weary of Winter, I am trying to capture photos of wintry scenes. It is supposed to warm up later on in the week and then the snow and ice may melt. I want to capture as many photos as I can that show the special beauty that I find only in the season of Winter.
This is week three of the Black and White book club study. I will be working on shapes (specifically edges and perhaps silhouettes), tone, texture and volume (& form). I might do some infrared. In this shot, I was working on textures, tones and shape. I worked on getting the shadows to show up. It was interesting to work on these black and white elements today in this photo and in a dozen other photos selected from the ones I took today.
