This is an overexposed image of a house finch at the bird feeder. This male finch was sitting on the perch and then he decided that he would rather cling to the bottom of the feeder. I have been trying off and on for the last few days to get the overexposed image (of a bird) that I wanted. Finally, I got this image, which is the closest to what I wanted to get. I wanted an overexposed image of a bird that showed some feather detail. I think shooting this in the bright sunlight did the trick. Bright sunlight has been hard to come by lately. When the sun shone, it was filtered through high clouds.
