Full of Holes

This subject is one that I found outside and brought inside to photograph. On a warm day, I started clearing the garden beds in preparation for spring. I discovered some interesting perrenial plant leaves that had some interesting holes in them. I thought they might make good photo subjects some day. I decided that today is the day to photograph one of these leaves.
Such an interesting shot. Well done and I like it in the muted color, black and white style. Nicely done!

Great find and capture, beautiful textures and a very creative use of the B+W.

Great subject for black and white and macro. Excellent shot too.

Definitely an evocative image, and love the black and white! (Also loved that you have intentionally curated this leaf!)

I also think this is a good subject! Like your interpretation and would like to see what happens with more backlight,

@havingfuntakingpics Thanks! I like the color version too, but it was my black and white Wednesday.

@la_photographic Thanks! I was glad the textures came through. The textures are subtle in the actual leaf.

@tonygig Thanks.

@pyrrhula Thanks. I still find that I am forcing myself to do black and white.

@archaeofrog Thanks. I like curating leaves and flowers. I press flowers and leaves and then make cards and pictures with them.

@maggiemae Thanks! I did this shot fairly early in the morning with filtered side light. I was surprised to see that the background looked like back lighting. I had placed the leaf on a green plant saucer. I guess the light bounced off of the saucer for thsi shot. I would love to take more shots of this leaf when there is astronger natural light.
