August 1: LIght and Shadows

Morning time brings its own light and shadows. I saw this when I was watering the front flower beds. The morning light was reflected in the pool of water left on the driveway. the tops of the leaves of the hosta ( near the top of the photo were lit up by the morning light), while the rest of the leaves remained in deep shade. The hosta cast their shadows across the sunlit driveway. Several minutes later, the light and the shadows were different. In the past week, I have learned how quickly the light and shadows change. One must be there and act quickly to capture the scene.
An entirely different world. Well seen.

Isn't it interesting how we see the light and shadows at all times of the day! But particularly early morning or late afternoon.

Catching these nicely - I've become more aware of them because of you doing this challenge. Still trying to find something I'd like to post. I like what you're doing.

Great example of light and shadow Daisy. I can see the profile of a face too on the right!

@golder365mjsmith I almost did not post this photo, because it seemed a bit spooky to me too. This photo is certainly different than my usual photo.

@pyrrhula Thank you for your fav. I can see why this reminds you of the BW cinema movies. Now, that you have said that, this photo reminds me of the movie, Singing in the Rain (minus the rain).
