In the morning, the shadows are usually long. However, the shadows stayed fairly close to these fallen leaves. This is for the light and shadows theme for the bw fortnight challenge.
This evening, I plan to attend the artist reception at our state fair. The artwork will have been judged. Ribbons will be on the artwork. The top winners in the top 50 exhibit will be announced. I have two photos in the photo contest and one photo in the top 50. I will let you know tomorrow if I got any ribbons or awards. I never have before, but there is always that first time.

I wish I had the time to individually respond to you. I did not receive any ribbons on my photos at the state fair. However, I received lots of compliments at the artist reception. I was really blown away by the praise I received from the director of the downtown center for the performing arts and visual arts. All in all, it was a great reception (except for the air conditioning not working---it was steamy hot).
