September 2: Storm aftermath

We had a series of thunderstorms pass throught the area. The storms brought lightning and heavy rain. There are rips and holes in each coleus plant leaf. I think the storms must have brought hail during the night. These storms signal the end of the summer dryness and the beginning of the Autumn rain storms. I am grateful for the coolness and for the rain these storms bring with them.

I will try to catch up with my comments and replies later in the week. My photo contest sponsors a photo contest. I am busy helping the photo club organize and exhibit this contest.
Good for this diary photo - poor plants! Might get rid of the nasty insects though!

@maggiemae Thanks! The heavy rain does seem to get rid of some of the creatures in the garden (except for the mosquitoes).
