I am fascinated by this flood plain. I only get to see it when I travel to a bigger city for my routine doctor checkups. This time, I got to see how the flood plain looks like in late Autumn.
Looks very pretty- it's fun to watch the seasonal changes, isn't it? Two weeks ago my yard was clear and the trees were still mostly green. Now, it's mostly brown as all the leaves have come down!
@sangwann Thanks! I was surprised to see the color variation in this scene. I was able to snap off 3 shots as our car traveled by this scene. (I was the passenger---not the driver.)
@pyrrhula Thanks! This land might have been used for growing crops at one time. Nature has reclaimed this land after the great flood of 1993. The wildlife seem to enjoy this flood plain. The river still partially floods this land almost every spring. I think that there may be an underground river there too.
