Merry Christmas! I display two cherished collections at Christmas time. One is a nativity set that grows larger each year, as I add one figurine to it each year I am married. The other is my Santa collection that I started when I was eight years old. My favorite Santas are the ones carved out of wood or look like they are wooden. I photographed two of the Santas that are under a flower pot of bonsai pony tail palms. The right hand Santa is the one that is carved out of wood. It might seem be a bit strange to collect both Nativity set figurines and Santas. My mother always said that Santa is the symbol of God's love at Christmas. In addition, a teacher gave me my first Santa when I was eight years old. That teacher showed a lot of loving and caring to me. To me, both of my collections symbolize love at Christmas.
I love the front one - very original. And I love your words. Unfortunately in many places the reason for the season is being left in a corner as people revel and enjoy themselves.
