We are having days of rainfall, which is strange to have in July. We have received over five inches of rain in two days. The double sunflower stalk was broken off by the high wind, hail, or heavy rain in one of the storms. I brought the blossom inside, placed it in a vase, and took several pictures. The sunflower blossom in the vase does provide cheer on these rainy days.
