I pick zinnia blossoms from the garden at least once a week. Here is the latest flower arrangement. I chose to take my daily pictures indoors. I was gone most of the day, because I helped check in art entries at the fine arts building on the state fair grounds. I have been busy in June and July on my own fair entries. In June, I entered the top 50 art contest. I was not juried into this contest. I found out that I was among 140 other artists who did not have their pieces juried into The Top 50. The competition was stiff this year! If you did not get into the top 50, you were allowed to enter the open category as either an amateur or professional. I entered my top 50 framed photos in the amateur contest. There are LOTS of entries in this contest. I will find out the judging results on August the 10th. I also entered two matted photos in the photography contest. The deadline for this contest was in early July. I am also entering two matted photos in the florticulture's building's photo contest at the state fair. You can enter this contest as late as August 10th. It has been a busy summer getting ready for these state fair contests.
I love zinnias- my grandmother and father always grew them in their gardens. I loved all the different colors. This is very pretty. Best wishes on your photo entries!
