Frozen Drop by daisymiller

Frozen Drop

Winter Storm Jupiter started out with mixed precipitation, which resulted in a light glazing on surfaces. The water dripped off of my deck railing and froze in place. It was a bit slick in places, but most people could travel with safety. However, I do know one woman who slipped on the ice and broke her ankle. I am staying indoors until the storm passes.
I like this shot in colour , the icicle glistens in the light !

We`ve winter now to. Only. I live close to the sea and between a river delta. Our winters are moderate. Lots of rains and temp. always around Zero/32 . We call this: ``Kwakkelweer`` = +/- unsteady weather

@beryl Thank you. I struggled with the natural lighting when taking shots of the drops.

@la_photographic Thank you.

@pyrrhula Thank you for your comments and for an explanation of your winter. I think my city must be having unsteady weather too. Ice and snow yesterday. Clouds, sunshine, and rain today!

@jclaireyp @sangwann @craftymeg Thank you for your comments. I took about a dozen photos of the ice drops, but only a few turned out well.

Great detail! We are supposed to have rain for the rest of the week starting tomorrow. If it's freezing, I'll have to cancel the camera club meeting tomorrow night. I hate making that judgment call- I'm always second guessing myself!
