The Japanese beetles have seemed to be "all bad" insects until I took this picture. I noticed the pollen on the beetle's legs and realized that these insects pollinate the flowers. They also shred these blossoms by eating big holes in the petals. Therefore, I am not certain that I am ready to call these "good" insects.
Is that what they are? They are eating through my canna leaves and have now decided to go to the hibiscus I recently planted. They may be pretty. They may be useful.......but they sure are hungry little beasts.
