We have an annual Christmas party at our house with a small group of friends. We used to all go to the same church and were part of a bible study. When we went our separate ways, we actually reformed with another bible study. We have been getting together for about 20 years. Only one couple is missing as the husband had major surgery this week. Overall, we have much to be thankful for.
Tomorrow's word for Dec12 is "family or friends" but since we had our party today, I am using this.
@anzere03 Thank you! Of course the village would have to be the backdrop! Yes, I turned on the timer and ran. Had to take several. One other was "better" except one had their eyes closed. By this one, they were getting weary with me. Once, I pressed the timer and almost didn't get there in time!

@purdey I agree totally. Have lost a few friendships lately that have crushed me. These are very special people and it was so unfortunate the one couple couldn't attend but he is lucky to still be here. Friends are a real treasure.
