Purple tree

I have noticed a few of these purple trees around and I don't know what they are! I don't think I have seen them before. I was just driving by this one, as I didn't wish to trespass.

What beautiful colour! Googled "trees with purple flowers" and maybe they are jacarandas?

@lynnb No, the Jacaranda is a gorgeous tree, but much larger. This is a small tree. I'll have to investigate further. I just started seeing them around and I know my plants!
