Father's Day 2014 by danette

Father's Day 2014

What a lovely afternoon spent with my dad. He hasn't had a good year. My aunt, uncle and cousin came down to visit, too. This aunt used to take care of me as a baby, so we are pretty close. They have often lived far away, but now just about 45 minutes from here. My uncle is 90! He's doing pretty good, and maybe better than my much younger dad. I love spending time with them and yet I need to do a better job of doing so. In a couple of weeks, my aunt and uncle celebrate their 70th anniversary. How awesome is that?

So, I didn't think ahead and bring my camera with me, but at least I had my phone. I hope to get a few better shots at the reunion next month. Pray all goes well.
Glad you had such a meaningful day with such dear people of your family.

Ooooops, sorry. Just noticed that you said the 90 yr old gent is your uncle not your dad. Well, I do wish them both well :-)

So many interesting stories reflected even though untold. Wonderful portrait. Frame copies for each as gifts.

@rob257 definitely. I wish I could have taken a photo when my dad's 90 year old brother came down in April. Hoping my dad makes it to the reunion. He is in ICU tonight and he lost a cousin last week.
