Sorry. Mine died in 1997 and I still miss him, but it really is a blessing to have had a Dad worth missing.
@pandorasecho Thanks for your comments. While today had many good things with my mom, tonight was a church meeting that touched some nerves. I heard the other day that when we lose our parents, it's hard because no one is left to love us unconditionally. Seems you lost your dad young.
He was 61 and had five grandkids but the oldest was born 3 years before he died. He has been greatly missed and now I have a granddaughter who just turned 6 months old yesterday. Knowing him, he would have been so delighted to meet her.
