Who would have guessed some of us would embrace the switch to B&W...even for a bit?! The bridge would be an iconic landmark I'd imagine, and a nice, timeless quality here in B&W.
@Weezilou I'm finding b&w to be a challenge. Since I am a bit buried with my mom moving in, I am not very motivated to go out and shoot. Re-editing old photos is allowing me to re-examine them from another angle and see what looks good in b&w. Over the last few years, I have upgraded to LR and learned much more.
@danette I think very few of us expected to find the help we've been given on this site, and the ability to learn new techniques even through viewing the photos of others! I look back at my earliest attempts, and it's like taking my children's 1st grade school papers out of the attic! How far we've come...and can see more clearly the path ahead! (More than always a photo a day, it's a classroom where we can try a new technique or two! My best to you as your and your mother settle in :-)
@bill_fe Thanks, Bill, for the feedback. Given that it was 4 years ago, I would have done it differently today. It's actually the reason I posted it here. I've only been twice, once in November and once late December. At least there are no crowds!
