This is another yacht spotted at the West Palm Beach Marina. I will always remember a story my dad liked to tell of a party he attended at the King Ranch in Texas where a socialite innocently asked him "what size is your yacht" as though everyone had one.
What a beauty & funny story! We have a 14'...Alumacraft canoe! It's not pretty, but can turn on a dime & can be beached against a rock for fishing, if we forget the anchor!
Well, we donated our canoe to the church auction a few years ago.. haha! Our son's girlfriend's Dad managed the King Ranch many years ago... and they don't own a yacht. :) Wonderful crisp photo!
@eyesmile From the way my dad told the story, there was no other innuendo. She just assumed everyone had a yacht. I know people who own jets and other fancy toys but only one person who owns a yacht (the father of my son's friend).
Wow, that thing is huge! You took a lovely shot of it... the owners should want it, framed somewhere inside, looking impressive. ;) I am skipping down past the size comments, but they are so tempting.
@eyesmile@rosiekerr We sometimes see yachts this size dock in Lunenburg. We found that you can Google the name of the yacht and find out all sorts of interesting information about it, including where it's been sailing!
Thanks for sharing the story. It adds sooo much. Great shot and caption. My sister was once invited to a party on a yacht and their was an Arabian sheik on it, as I recall.
Mine's 210.
Inches. :^)

(as I finished writing the note above, I thought it would have been just as fun to write,
"What? He DIDN'T have one??
(OK...all you socialites reading this, please raise your hands...)
