We held our annual gathering last night, minus 3, plus one. We lost one of our friends this year. Another recently had open-heart surgery and is having trouble. He and his wife were absent. My mom joined us, though! We almost put off the gathering because of the illness, but you need to gather as often as possible. Merry Christmas!
WHat a lovely gathering of friends, Danette! Like your group, we've had changes & losses over 35 years of Christmas gatherings. As with your family & friends, it's the bonding of friendships (and support) and there's no better gift to give one another! Merry Christmas to you all!
@danette - I should have read your commentary before I posted. I remember your photo of your get together last year and was glad to see that you were able to get together again this year! I hope that you friend's recovery is a speedy and total one!

I also lost someone this year (Dad), and some days are harder than others (hence the return to 365 to keep my mind busy). I hope the friend with heart surgery sees some improvement soon!
