Out on a country road in Texas, you will find this beautiful church. This area was the first Czech settlement in Texas. They arrived in 1856. The first church they built was destroyed by a hurricane in 1909. This church was built in 1911. It is one of the Painted Churches of Texas where the interior is painted beautifully. In 1952, people chose to paint it all over!! In 1983, they restored the original painted interior.
@lynne5477 This church is near Schulenburg, SE of Austin. There are a few painted churches out there in really isolated locations. Definitely worth a trip.
