@homeschoolmom we left for San Diego when Matthew was not supposed to hit us. By the time we landed in CA, it was coming straight at us. We had to cut the trip short and return the next day. Ugh. Just glad it didn't hit us.

@Weezilou We learned that the storm was headed for our home before we even picked up,our luggage at the airport. That was 2pm pacific time. We caught the 9 PM flight out the next day.
