Built by Hollywood (Florida) city founder, this hotel was built in 1924 and closed in 1991. My grandmother may or may not have worked here! The building fell into disrepair. A developer tried to keep part of the hotel and build a 19-story apartment complex attached to it. However, it was to far deteriorated. The builder was able to duplicate the old facade into the new construction.
