Well, after vowing to carry on with a shot daily again, family matters got in the way. My step dad was admitted to hospital after suffering a minor stroke, thankfully he's well on the way to a superb recovery.
The only problem is that he is in Brighton whereas I'm in Birmingham so you can probably understand the logistics involved in trying to help out as much as I can whilst relying on other family members (mainly my younger sister) to assist. Juggling two jobs hasn't helped either as I only have Saturdays off unfortunately.
However, all seems to be sorting itself out now and whilst down there I took some time out - just me and the camera and went snapping down on the beach. As you'll all probably know - I've taken plenty of shots down there before, but for me, it just cannot be beaten for the peace needed to soothe the mind.
Love the greatly captured dramatic effect in this shot. Great lighting and comp!
Good to hear from you again, Darren :)
Good luck with the family situation!
Sorry to hear of the family illness - hope your step-dad has good recovery --nice to see you back ! Super dramatic shot -- great light and composition 1

beautiful dramatic shot. So sorry to hear about your step-dad. Brighton seafront is a fab place to get away from it all though isn't it - I have been down there several times recently (but then I am only 1/2 an hour away!)
I'm so sorry... I did wonder where you'd gone too! I do hope your step dad makes full recovery, and a quick one too! My own father had cancer, so I know how taxing it is on the whole family, when one member is down and needing care and nursing! :) Hope it all works out well!
So sorry to hear about your very busy life you sound as if you are a good juggler! I do hope all calms down and life becomes more peaceful for all Involved.
This capture is so moody and I guess the session did you good, great POV.
I'm in total agreement about the baech:-) The sound of the waves absolutely soothes the frazzled nerves:-) Soorry to hear about your stepdad and hope for a speedy recovery-)
Beautiful shot. Sorry to hear about your step dad. My mother had a minor stroke about 14 months ago. She recovered very quickly. It's a worry when relatives are getting older.
Good to hear from you again, Darren :)
Good luck with the family situation!
