Here it is, the first picture taken on the new camera! - this one using the camera's selective colouring option. Still plenty to learn - this was a quick 20 mins or so just messing around sort of photo. So much more to offer than my old point and shoot (which I like to think I've mastered to within an inch of it's life!)
Any tips or suggestions for the Nikon D3200 would be appreciated! Also, would like a macro lens - if anyone has a good one for this camera then please point me in the right direction!
Congratulations on the new Nikon. I would strongly suggest looking at the Nikkor f/2.8 105 Micro, or the Sigma f/2.8 105 Macro. Both are incredible lens, and very useful as a general purpose hand lend lens with their Image Stabilization/VR/VS. Both are also great portrait lenses. I like the longer macro lenses as you don't have to be right on top of the subject for the shot. Both are expensive. Good glass always is. Significantly more than you paid for the camera.
@frankhymus thank you for your knowledge Frank - I did purchase the dummies book for the camera but will also check out your recommendation too and thanks for the lens suggestion as well.
