I've been so absent from the site, and that makes me sad! I have been working on getting my health in order. Back is still a pain, but I'm working on swimming as much as I can. Today, I went 3/4 mile without stopping, and I was relieved that a new knee issue was not a problem -- I think I had a baker's cyst burst behind a knee as the pain shifted down my calf and it was very painful. But movement is my best way of getting better!
I've been taking photos mostly of sports these days as Track season is going on for my youngest daughter. We've been also getting things for my senior--prom dress, announcements for graduation, waiting on last two unis for final decision! It's a stressful time.
And then there are marches all over the US to promote sensible gun legislation--something our politicians have been avoiding at the detriment of the very fabric of our national values. I did not attend the march in Atlanta, but so many of my friends did. I was at a meet and then prom shopping with my daughter.
The other day, my MASSIVE cherry blossom tree was in full bloom, so I snuck out and took a few shots with my new tamron 24-70. Lovely. Spring is here. With renewed nature's promise that we have days ahead. Let's make them the best.
Such a gorgeous image Daryl. You are further ahead Spring wise than we are in the UK. A few trees are just beginning to show some blossom and today’s sunshine made me think Srping was here. Sadly the forecast for Easter weekend is possible snow showers again! Good to hear you are able to swim and hopefully it’s helping your back problems. Your life sounds so busy Daryl - lovely to hear what you have been up to! Big hug xx
What a gorgeous detailed pastel photo! Fantastic light.
It seems as if you're very busy which is a good thing most of the time anyway. I am sorry to hear that you are still in pain and counting the days until April 5!!
Beautiful way to pop in -- and good to read your update. I do hope the back pain lessons sooner rather than later. And what fun to be prom shopping with your daughter! Are you going as chaperone?
@taffy haha chaperone! Never! I used to chaperone prom when I was teaching high school though. She found a lovely dress and is going with a "group" of friends instead of a date.
@pamknowler big hugs back! Our spring blossoms were once again quite early -- I always fear the birds are going down in population because the weather triggers time to breed too early (we'll have awful cold snaps after the early blooms).
@phil_howcroft well the weather turned miserably cold the past two days too. Weather is quite unpredictable these days. I'm going to the beach in a week, so fingers crossed I'll have warm, clear days!
@888rachel Swimming is the best thing I have going. I keep at it. I am going to go to a neurologist at some point to rule out rheumatological issues. It's just one more appt. I have to make sadly.
@darylo That's great to hear! You should always keep that positive mental attitude up, brings you much more hope and spirit for better times to come. I wish you the best
