Interesting signs.. What would you have done instead of college?

Perfect for the theme! A couple there I would like to browse through. Taste of the South looks interesting! Great processing!

Just spotted the thumbnail in colour but when you click on it it's the b& w version?

@pamknowler I uploaded in color and then processed in Picmonkey. The original is always the imprint for a bit of time and at some point I think it switches. I've uploaded something before and then shared it, then changed it, and I can't get what I shared to change even if I start it again. Must mean it takes time to work through any "redos" of the original. Color was interesting too. I guess everything this week was bw so I stuck with it. But now looking at the thumbnail, I see color was good! :)

@grammyn I was lucky to be mostly on scholarship, but had huge loans in the end. English just was not a good degree to have in my opinion--especially now that I see I would have loved computer programming or instructional design--but computers were barely even on my campus in college. Lots of money for little return in the end. I see my kids deciding everything based on how much they can afford after the loans after school. It has nothing to do with passion for something--it's about if they can pay off their loans and make a decent living. For that price tag, I think college should be something to look forward to. I'm rambling. Looking forward to huge debts as we retire too (retire--ha, was just joking there.). But first world problems. I'm whining.

@grammyn my daughter hinted once at the "gap year" concept (take a year doing something other than school between high school and college), and I have to say I am in support of it these days. Work and travel. Then go where your educational heart desires after living a little.

@darylo Well hindsight is 20/20 so I am sure you made the best decision given your situation at the time and your experiences will help guide the girls to better informed decisions for themselves so not a totally wasted experience. You might not have appreciated the travel as much as you do now and when did college become about the financila return instead of the learning process. Maybe that is what lyou were alluding to in the first reply? Good to know you are looking forward to those huge debts as you retire! ;~} That should make it easier! HA! ♥
