From the Archives October 23, 2015

I am recovering from a long weekend of selling my photography as part of an art opening with fellow artists (potters, jewelers, painters, woodworkers, printers, etc.). While I made way too many cards to sell, I did well. I also sold 7 framed pieces total! I didn't hold onto my earnings well as I promptly turned around and bought other people's art for gifts for myself and others for Xmas. I also did the show with my mother (she made cards from a series of haikus she wrote and from a series of line drawings she drew).

Back update: I am officially not seeing a spine specialist anymore--I am passed on to at PT for land and aqua therapy. I am supposed to see a neurologist also to rule out a rheumatological something or an immune disorder.

What I can say is that the PT today touched the EXACT spot of pain and worked it--SI Joint territory, so at least we are not just "guessing" where it is exactly. I'm sore, but I felt like I was on to something for the first time in 2 and 1/2 months.

Dear Santa, I do not want a lifetime of pain. Thanks, Daryl. P.S. I want a 70-200mm lens please. After the pain is gone. Pain first ....please.
great find

Congrats on the successful show! Also, so pleased about the PT experience. I had pain for 2 months. Insurance wouldn't allow an MRI, but the PT finally got me better. I walked in one day barely able to walk and have been mostly fine since.

Laughing at your narrative. Loving your image. Delighting at the fact that you sold so many cards ... and you spent the money? So what? Hoping the back keeps improving and that you get your wishes in the right order! :-)

@jamibann I was delighted to do so well at the show. It's great to turn around and invest it in other artists' work!

Hope Santa give you exactly what you want! Sounds like you were in a bit of pain when the PT found the spot. This car has a lot to say...!

praying "Santa" gives you what you ask for and glad to hear you feel improved a bit.

I remember your series from the old car place if this is where that photo came from.

Congratulations on all the sales too!

@jgpittenger VERY SLOOOOOOW. I do feel somewhat better, but the middle of my back and lower back are rarely giving way to pain relief. I enjoy the PT sessions, but I'm still exhausted by end of every day and I really still can't "bend over." I have asked for a new lens for my camera, but I've even asked to delay til my birthday so I know I'll be able to use it. Part of me wants to change my whole system for mirrorless and start over. Thanks for asking after me. I'm just a long-term mess unfortunately. :/

I wish you all the best: first pain free and than the new lens!
Super that you’ve sold so many pics! Congrats! Hold on to every pain free minute! 💋
