Looking up in the Cherry Tree

Almost all of the leaves are gone in my Cherry Blossom tree--Loved the veins against the sky.
I think I see an insect silhouette; maybe an ant. I wonder why there is black in some holes? Interesting photo from a nature and a pictorial standpoint.

@rvwalker It's really quite interesting that the Cherry Tree provided so much food while in bud, bloom, post bloom, and now in falling leaves. I believe the black is where the leaf is rotting out from some bug infestation while it eats the leaves. All I know is that I have never been more observant of a tree than this year!

Funny how we see things in such a different way now isn't it? I like the colors contrasting with each other!

@juliedduncan LOL!

@darylo Amazing how photography helps us look more thoroughly and see better.

So sad a shot signaling the end of the season. But so well composed!

Sad on one level, but interesting in the holes throughout it!
