Our school is very diverse in an area where many schools are not, so we really enjoy the language, food, culture lessons! Our Japanese teacher won teacher of the Year for our school and our area of the county, and she organizes the event. So many generations in one building sharing their time and talents. It's so nice to see some schools really reflect what the world is like! Unfortunately, the high school we will go to will be just the opposite--so my kids will be in shock at the difference in "world view."
