Ouch ... what on earth did you do?! Reminds me of the damage I did my left index when I stuck it in the blade of a stick blender to remove some smoked salmon ... and accidentally pressed the 'on' button at the same time. Major damage to finger and salmon terrine. ;-) Over 3 years ago, but I still remember it well, and my finger still has no proper feeling at the site of the injury!
@jamibann I used my finger to seal metal duct tape on some vents. Sliced my finger. It's hyper sensitive now and yet another area feels numb. I use a wand blender all the time. I have been hyper vigilant teaching my kids to use because I see myself doing that too. I've had many kitchen cuts and burns, and even while trying ti demonstrate what not to do. All I know is that I will not use this duct tape without work gloves first. :(
@darylo I was hyper vigilant with the kids too - just didn't take my own advice to switch if off, always, before sticking a finger in! We do learn from or mistakes though ... hopefully! :-)
