In Jewish folklore of Eastern Europe, the Golem was a man made from clay that was brought to life by means of enchantment and could be controlled by its creator. This specimen is a crude figure I made from paper clay. Alas, I have failed so far in making him a servant capable of housework!
I'm impressed that you made this! My initial thought was that it was a pre-Colombian figure from Central America! Shade it in a terra cotta color and see if you don't agree!
