This is a plaque in Poole Park adjacent to the freshwater lake used by a variety of wild fowl. Anna Beiner was an eccentric old lady who came to the park most days with a basket loaded with chopped vegetables which she duly fed to the geese, swans and ducks, who made a bee line for her as soon as she appeared.
Good for her. There's a guy here who comes every afternoon with a bag of white-sliced for the ducks. This does them no good; they're much better off with veg peelings.
