I was working on a blog post today about my boat trip around Cape Ann at the end of August, and seeing this island with little summer cottages was one of the most interesting parts of the trip.
I had never seen Pearce Island before, even though I lived on Cape Ann for ten years. This view is from the Annisquam River. The captain said there are no cars on Pearce Island, so I guess the people with the cottages get there by boat. The cottages looked old and very traditional, simple weather beaten New England summer cottages. I'm intrigued about Pearce Island now.
I like the way this cottage is perched on the rocks. I'd like to be there now!
