I walked over to Brookline, the next town, this morning to go to a class at the Senior Center, about two miles. It's on the other side of Jamaica Pond.
On the way I passed the radiant tree (above right) on the edge of a playground and the fairly ordinary green house with the stunning colored trees towering over it. The Senior Center is on the street with the apartment buildings and the row of trees, which are just as colorful even if they are street trees.
I might add that I don't feel quite old enough for the "Senior Center" but the class was for women over sixty, so I do qualify!
