Before we have to break up Christmas this weekend, I am taking final photos of this year's decorations. It helps me next year to look at the photos and save time arranging things. I like continuity as well as a few variations each year.
Large photo: breakfast this morning. I like having special Christmas dishes that are used only during the season. The little Christmas tree waffles I found at Whole Foods; they're from France. I had to use them up, so I decided to make breakfast special today on a gray morning. How fun to be retired and be able to do this on a weekday and to linger over a pot of tea in our cheery yellow kitchen!
The New England snowy village scene in the circle of holly is on a vintage Christmas tablecloth that I found some years ago and use on the kitchen table every year. I find the scene heartwarming.
Cupcake ornaments, tea pot ornaments, holly plates, snowflakes on a red cup, Christmas trees in a jar--some of my kitchen decorations!
