Today I attended Writers Resist at the Boston Public Library while similar events took place all across the country and in Europe and Asia too. The auditorium was full, with an overflow crowd in the lobby.
Afterwards I saw the library's lanterns shining in the darkness while, across the street, Old South Church's sign board featured the beautiful words of Martin Luther King, on his birthday. It helps to take the long view.
