As part of the recent renovation of the central library in Copley Square, the public radio station WGBH has a recording studio in the front corner of the building, in partnership with the Newsfeed Café (which is just to the left of this photo). On Fridays I sometimes go to watch the live broadcast of the "Boston Public Radio" discussion program. Sometimes the Mayor is there for an hour and takes questions. Today one of the guests was a Boston Globe columnist, seen here standing in front of the blue sign, dressed in black.
Before the renovation, the library was barricaded behind concrete walls. It was opened up with glass across the whole front along Boylston Street and the side along Exeter Street, giving a completely different feeling to the place.
Well done shot and thanks for the narration. Interesting location for a PBS station. Like that the public can attend broadcasts. Our local one is located at San Diego State University. No visiting.
