We've been having more lovely snow today. Normally I would stay home and watch it from inside, but I had to go to a meeting of the new Jamaica Plain Women's Alliance at St. John's Episcopal Church on Sumner Hill a few blocks from here -- a community meeting to figure out how best to continue the work of the Women's March.
I was glad I went out as it was so lovely on Sumner Hill in the snow. That's where some of the most colorful Victorian houses in Jamaica Plain are located, and I thought they looked enchanting, especially on the way home when the lights came on inside. The tree branches were outlined with snow, and the paths were soft with snow. When I descended from the hill into the downtown of Jamaica Plain the snow was a slushy mess, but up there it was heavenly.
