The organizing work I'm doing in our back room has become really interesting, like an archaeological dig through my life. I found this cheery little tea quilt in a bag. I had forgotten all about it. I made it about twenty-five years ago; it's not the kind of work I usually did, but just a fun little piece I made in a class at a nearby quilt shop. I just washed it, so it's a bit wrinkled.
That back room used to be my quilt work room, then it became a study, then it became the place where we put all kinds of things when we were doing renovations in the front rooms. That's why it is so crowded and so in need of the work I'm doing now. The most time consuming thing is the paper, which I have to go through piece by piece. I have found many interesting items, and I'm actually enjoying the process now.
