We walked around the pond in the afternoon after working hard on the house all morning. I saw the first two goslings of the season at the Pond, still all fuzzy and round. They're not from the goose whose nest I have been watching as she is still sitting on it.
We also saw three ducks with new ducklings, two sets of four and a set of two. So, the Pond was full of life.
I'm so sorry for the horrible tragedy in England. Sometimes it's hard to take the world in the state it's in. It would be easy to despair.
And here is this fragile new life, innocent of the horror. It's a comfort to be with animals who don't know about the cruel state of human affairs.
