Released!

The dreaded convolvulus has been trying to strangle some of the trees we planted down by the workshop. This shows how it had spiralled its way around a kowhai tree. I could almost hear the tree breathe a sigh of relief when I untangled the plant from around it. You can see the pseudopanax in the background needs to be released too.
THere are people like this too and when they leave you are delighted.

Two lovely photos. The tree must be very glad to be released from the grip of those creepers.

It's a pretty flower, but oh what a nightmare to get rid of. I had it on my allotment, and sadly, I've brought some of it home to my garden.

Hope you don’t have too many trees infected. Looks like a real pest. You did a good job. I hope it lasts.

Beautiful dyptyk. The tree will thank you for providing it with beautiful growth and give you shade on hot days.
