I love the boy on the bus with spiderman although I wouldn't say it's street photography. I'm confused as to what is really is because I've seen pictures of flowers or a road that is called street photography. The beach photo of the couple getting married doesn't fit 'street photography' to me, either. Also, the women in the restaurant bathroom don't make me think 'street photography'. Hmmm .... maybe I do street photography, too. What is it?
A lot of those shots have me wondering if the definition of "street photography" for this contest was "anywhere outside of your own house". That said, I found the work by Siegfried Hansen (the second-last finalist) really interesting.
hmmm... i guess the definition is pretty broad... some of these i find to be so esoteric as to be pretty much inaccessible to me... guess i need to look at this kind of stuff more to gain a better understanding of the depth of the concept of street photography... :)
