So this keeps coming up and I'm yet to get one. Some might call me crazy, but I love doors, I mean think about it... where would we be without doors? What goes on behind these closed doors? Maybe we shall never know. Maybe we don't want to know!
To dream that you are entering through a door, signifies new opportunities that are presented before you. You are entering into a new stage in your life and moving from one level of consciousness to another. In particular, a door that opens to the outside, signifies your need to be more accessible to others, whereas a door that opens into the inside, denotes your desire for inner exploration and self-discovery.
To see an opened door in your dream, symbolizes your receptiveness and willingness to accept new ideas/concepts. In particular, to see a light behind the door, suggests that you are moving toward greater enlightenment/spirituality.
To dream that the door is closed or locked, signifies opportunities that are denied and not available to you or that you have missed out on. Something or someone is blocking your progress. It also symbolizes the ending of a phase or project. In particular, if you are outside the locked door, then it suggests that you have anti-social tendencies. If you are inside the locked door, then it represents harsh lessons that need to be learned.
To dream that you are locking the door, suggests that you are closing yourself off from others. You are hesitant in letting others in and revealing your feelings. It is indicative of some fear and low self-worth. If someone slams the door in your face, then it indicates that you are feeling shut out or some activity or that you are being ignored.
To see revolving doors in your dream, suggests that you are literally moving in circles and going no where. You may feel that your opportunities and choices lead to a dead end.
Sorry Kiran. Go to your photo that you want to upload onto this thread, on the right hand side under share copy and paste the html code into the reply box at the bottom of the thread you wish to reply.
And this isn't a *door* shot so much as a *doorway* shot - but I like it. It's from the old prison in Phnom Penh that was used during the horrific Khmer Rouge regime
Last year was my oldest child's first year away at college. Throughout the year, I would often find his younger siblings, who missed him so, cracking his bedroom door open for a peek. I took this photo to capture it from their perspective.
This photo origianlly appeared within a collage on July 8 in my 365 project. A kind but anonymous neighbor left this lovely bouquet by my front door. I had fun revisiting it for the MANDATORY DOOR SHOT!!! and played around with a little processing on it as well.
here is mine :) might retake it now that I know a bit more about shadows :) have to wait for the flowers to grow up again though, they have all died off for the summer.
Hi there, this is my first post on 365! This is the door to the bathroom down the hall from the band room at a cafe called "The Spill" in Peterborough, Ontario.
in march, my theme was "doors and windows" so my postings were mostly doors. i love doors with character that's why i photograph them. this one is a door at the hockey hall of fame in toronto
and this is one of the doors i posted in march for my theme

I was just thinking that I need my own door shot when I realized I already have one. I still think I’ll keep looking for something better. There are some awesome shots on this thread.
Thanks for sharing all of your wonderful door shots! I'm surprised how much this thread really took off. I guess there is a massive door following on 365!!
And @annaruth I still don't have any door shots either!
