Actually... I've uploaded two because of the moon ;-)
The first because of the great tree-silhouette it produced
And the second because I was trying to improve my moon-shots with my super-zoom P&S
Paula - I agree, the full moon can be a bit 'flat' a t times and the other phases offer both new challenges (due to lighting) but some pretty cool results!
Julie - I love how you caught the plane shadow ... great timing!!
Do you use PS at all? I am thinking the image would benefit from making the moon a tad brighter ... what do you think?
@Cherrill Haha it's just a Fuijfilm Finepix S4000 ...30x Optical zoom, 2x stabilization, but I did use my trusty old tripod for these and manual settings.
I titled this "Screw you clouds" because when I went out the other night to shoot the full moon, it was covered in clouds. Sorry for the interruption...still not over it. You all may return to posting your gorgeous moon shots!
Here is mine - I wasn't happy with the moon shot, so I made an attempt at a creative edit. Then I didn't like the edit. I don't know why I show this to people. ;)
I missed the full moon due to some storms, but here is tonight's moon from Dallas, Texas. :) (My timestamp is off by 1 hour somehow, this was taken at 00:08.

Wish I had a zoom lens - I love some of these shots!
I had to wait for 4 days 'til the cloud cover went away ... ended up doing light painting shots while swearing at the clouds loudly.
This photograph made me smile - love it - THANK YOU!!
This is my atempt
here's my version
These are truly gorgeous shots of the moon. Loving how people get creative with clouds, silhouettes, blending pics, using effects, etc.
I am really enjoying see everyone's different point of view/creativity on a common subject.
Thank y'all for sharing your photographs with me!!
