It is apparent things are allowed & handled ALOT differently in the US compared to other countries. I wonder if this thread will be deleted,,,so things are nice & tidy. I just contact the hosting company which in in New Jersey. They listened to my concern and are starting to look into this. This site and all content are under US law.
Looking the other way does not curb such activity.

@herussell I agree with you. I really dont want to come hear and listen to drama. Its been a great two weeks so far and what I dont know about any of this, the better. If Ross shut something down, I am sure it was for good reason. I love it here, I hope it stays that way.
I have a question. Did anyone happen to do a screen shot of the original relationship on 365 post? I'd kinda love to see how far it got. I can only see what Ross wrote in response. He just closed it down....?
@herussell@sheg@billbetten Bill has a valid point. I love this site and the people on it, but the discussion was about some disturbing activity on here that needed to be called out. But I’m not really sure I can fault Ross, either.

I was trying really hard to stay away from "the situation" since it started to smell bad to me a LONG time ago. I had to try hard to not come out with guns blazing and with an e-mail to Ross saying exactly what I thought of a certain person and of some people who seemed to be encouraging bizarre behavior. I am guessing from this thread that things got resolved somehow. Good riddance.
@scatochef This is not about Bill. It was about a member (hopefully now ex-member) of 365 whose behavior was reaching disturbing levels. As far as I'm concerned those levels had been reached shortly after he joined the site. Apparently, I was the only one who thought so.
@moonpig I was reading the tread as it was deleted, this was the 2nd time was all I saw before it was deleted. @meisen325 If the master did NOT do more than delete the thread, then as the OWNER of a site that is HOSTED in the US, he should of read his agreement with the host before using them. Making things appear all pretty is not being responsible. If I was closer to the person we are concered with, there very well be need for a Dr,,,,I am a single parent with a daughter,,,,,,,,,

@billbetten It had happened before, and I noticed. Person was quite brazen about revealing it and doing it in a way to elicit sympathy from followers. I had stopped being one of them before things got weird simply because the personality was way too obnoxious for my taste and I couldn't stand it. Then things got "interesting" when a young person started a discussion on being creeped out by a follower but not mentioning names. Guess who came to my mind...

This has every reason to be a very emotive subject and while not trying to negate it in anyway, I believe we owe it to Ross @scrivna to let him overview the situation and see what steps are necessary to allay everyones fears. Ross has always made himself open to receiving complaints and the like. I'm sure he is more than aware of everyone's comments. Its times like this that we need to support the community and that means showing Ross a bit of respect and time to investigate, and for each of us to be responsible for what we see and report it at the time. I saw the posting this morning and Ross was quick to act there and this lets me know he is taking these comments seriously.

@billbetten@meisen325 Bill, I thought (incorrectly) you closed the posting but I just wanted to say that I have been doing some digging because I had a feeling and wanted to know (as much as possible) one way or the other....I can only assume since I never saw the original post and no names have been mentioned, that I know who you are talking about. That being said, I feel that having noticed it a while ago and not saying anything (privately to said person) that I feel extremely lacking in integrity and shirking my responsibility. I hope this gets resolved correctly and I'm glad you had the guts to post this, since I didn't. I have been one of the people to complain about the general lack of will, fortitude and decency in society and now I have become one of those people....lesson learned. Thanks

Whether I have children or not doesn't change my opinion of this socially unacceptable behaviour. You are totally correct that this is a family forum and all legitimate members of it know that and act accordingly. I read Ross comments this morning and my opinion was that he was never closing the thread to hide, protect or nullify anything that was being said, but to ensure that the complaints were handled in a way that allowed him to act accordingly and not let things get out of control. There were names mentioned this morning, which included the victim, at least you have warned everyone not to mention names. Please do not get the wrong impression, I agree with your comments and we all have our part to play in ensuring this site is not used for those purposes.
@shadesofgrey the first post mentioned names, which may be why Ross took it down and may deal with this off line. It is who and what you think it is about. I noticed around Christmas and talked offline about it and to my friends. Because of legal ages thee was nothing legally one could say so it became a moral issue to me. Hence why you no longer saw me on the persons page or on any discussions. Made me feel really weird after some of what. I thought of as joking and having fun. But I am back to my normal now.
@bdb3471 I agree with what you say vis a vis Ross. I think he is an sharp human being who, in my opinion, is clearly capable of exercising common sense and of making appropriate decisions. Ross deleted my post but he has been made aware of this problem through emails. Several emails. He didn't care to say anything publicly about it until the original post gained a bit (understatement) of attention. I don't know what measures he has taken behind the scenes, however. 365 is a wonderful place, but like most wonderful places, dig a little deeper and you'll find the horrible, scary, disgusting spots.
A young girl with massive photography skills has deleted her account while the grown man who has a habit of grooming young girls with promises and romantic gestures has deleted the majority of all his incriminating photos, comments, and if he thinks that will save him from the proper authorities, he needs to take a basic Internet 101 course and realize that whatever is on the internet, stays on the internet one way or another.
This is not a witch hunt. This is not a social bashing. This is not bullying. This is a basic request for 40 year old men not to prey on little girls. It's also a request presented to Ross (AND THE REST OF US) to strive to keep children on this site as safe as possible. That means making those super magic monkeys work a little harder. The proper authorities have been contacted, so Ross won't have to do much. My only hope right now is that Savanna is safe, using rational thinking, and knows that my original post was out of deep concern for her safety and well being.

@meisen325 I agree that speaking out is hard to do. That being said, if I had any evidence like what has been reported in your example, the question of to speak up would be cut and dry(in my mind). In this case, I had/have no clear evidence beyond some profile info about it. That should have been enough to say something, but it's not enough to outright say that X is what is real and actually going on. That does not mean that it should be swept under the rug either, please don't get me wrong. It appears that there was some wrongdoing/reprehensible activity and a brave soul brought it out in the open (maybe not 100% in the right way...) and now, hopefully, the right people have been made aware of it and the outcome will be the right one, based on all the available evidence for and or against.
I have been feeling more and more uncomfortable with the situation over the last few weeks and I can only thank whoever it was that reported it while I sit back and feel terrible for not doing the same.
@kjarn Please don't feel that way,,,,,now we are aware of it. The DNA of a HD & server is long lasting. If you have a load to pull, it is easier with a team of horses, compared to just one :)
I only came accross this situation yesterday evening and went to bed wishing that there was a way I could contact the young lady's parents to make them aware of what was happening. I feel alot better now, knowing that someone found a way to bring this to a head. I did not see the earlier thread but am so glad that someone took a stance
@eyebrows I think we are good :) "John Doe" has been busy deleting photos,,,,but they are still there. And also was in the US!, last year (March) We don't play over here, Tick Tock, Tick Tock. 18 the the legal age here. I see a plane ride in someone's future :)
This guy has done this before and been deported from the country he flew to to meet the girl he was 'having a relationship with'. This is his second (that we know of) and both have been very young.

I have been discussing this situation over the past couple of weeks with my husband. I felt extremely uncomfortable with how things were going and was umming and ahhing over whether I should email Ross. To my shame I didn't do it. I felt that there were still people commenting on his and her shots and didn't appear to find a problem with it. This has made me realise that there were probably others who had the same thoughts as I did but weren't explicitly saying anything. If a similar situation ever comes up again I'll defintely go with my gut instinct and act on it. Such a shame that this young talented girl has had to delete her account.
