Show me your captured moments

February 13th, 2012
Hello fellow 365ers, some of my favourite photos are those of moments captured. The kind of photos where its as if the photographer isn't there. No posing, nothing's staged just au naturel.

Show me your moments..whether they're captures of your loved ones or complete strangers :) As long as its all real! Posing your subject to appear natural doesn't count...

Here's one of mine to get things started

This is a photo of my cousin dancing in the light of a projector. He was really getting into it before I had even thought to get out my camera. This one shows the pure soul he was putting into what he was doing, I did not direct at all.

That's really cool Amber, seems like you have a pretty awesome cousin! :)

I love this one of my sister-in-law - really liked the light coming in as she sat helping my husband get fishing poles ready...

My son, doing some last minute checking before he headed off to college last fall.

My wife and younger son walking back to our car after a night out at a restaurant.

The guy didn't even know I was there until after I'd taken my last shot.

Woman was so engrossed in her conversation, she never knew I took this shot.

Was sitting outside, and looked up to see my husband reading a magazine in one hand, and scratching the dog.s head with the other. I wish I had of got them both in the picture, but I zoomed in to get the look of pure bliss on Moet's face. Once they heard the click of the camera, the moment was gone

Another stranger at The Wave, AZ - a quick spur of the moment decision to include him in my photo for scale.

A very recent shot as I was getting into the car after taking some shots on the beach I noticed these guys one on a skateboard and the other taking photos! The sun was still visible and they didn't even notice I was photographing them taking shots of each other.

My youngest son giving my eldest son a birthday kiss:

My three fav guys. I'd left them to tidy up while I put dinner on and came back to this. Funny how tidying up and playing look very similar. lol

My youngest son Riley in his own little world in our back garden.

My Mum last year, she's such a kid!

This old chap was walking up a steep path from a small cove with that great big piece of driftwood. He was a long way off & oblivious to being snapped.

Playing with the grass.

Being known as a Military Town, the San Diego sports teams tend to do things around the military. The San Diego Padres, especially. There is always an MIA flag flying in the flag pavilion at Petco Park and every Sunday home game is Military appreciation day where the Padres wear camoflage jerseys and the current Marine boot camp company gets to come to a game.
On this particular day there was an MIA ceremony. The dark haired woman in the picture had worn the gentleman's POW/MIA bracelet for many years. The ceremony was her returning his bracelet to him. Welcoming him home, so to speak. Not a dry eye in the house.

The concert was staged, but none of the members of U2 were posing for the pic. Funny, though, as they all seem to be looking right into my camera.

Ok, so my hubby knew he was being photographed but since I didn't have a choice neither did he! Didn't tell him to do anything different. Shot blind since it was too hard to get in a position where I could see what I was doing
