It has happened to me once - after I posted a very short one-word comment, but that might also have had to do with the number of comments I had posted prior to that.
Nothing personal, simply the way the system works ... but it does feel like you get sent to the corner, doesn't it? =)

I think it had to do with what I wrote..I was talking about dolalr amouts for fines when caught driving and using your cell phone..once I took the money aspect out of the comment it went.
I got the same thing last week when I was linking a couple of my pictures in a comment. I immediately went back to posting though, so I don't really think it works very well :)
I just tried to post a reply on one of my photos with a couple of youtube links. First and only comment in several hours (I'm a lightweight). And on MY OWN photo! How dare them. ;-)
Weird - i've never seen it and when I do my commenting i'm usually at it for longer than an hour. It must be something other than time commenting that triggers it.
this happened to me once... i was commenting on someone else's image and was saying something cost big bucks using the several dollar signs... got the message you're decribing... turned the dollar signs into "bucks" and all was well... for this response, when i used the dollar signs, i got the invalid data error message... i assume this is a way for the system to attempt to detect spam...
Well I think its a bleeding good idea, I havn't had it happen to me yet but with the spammer that keeps popping up Ross has to try outwit him somewhere, I wont be annoyed if it does happen to me, I will either reword my comment, or come back after having a cup of tea
Yeah..this happened with me yesterday when I was trying to reply a comment. I thought it popped up because my comment contained some links to other (food related) websites and hence it was getting banned!

Didn't think I was commenting that much but there you go.....
I believe @agima means that if you COMMENT on a lot of pictures in a short amount of time, not necessarily POST a lot of pictures.
