On next Friday (11th of may 2012) I will travel across the Atlantic Ocean to go to America !
I leave my country for a 3 weeks road trip among the national parks of western USA :)
From San Francisco to Las Vegas via Sequoia NP, Yosemite NP, Bryce Canyon, Arches NP, Lake Powell, Antelope Canyon, Grand Canyon NP, Zion NP...
I just hope to have enough space on my memory card to take all photos I want !
So this post just to say that I'll not be on the website until 1st June... so be patient for my photographic contributions... it will comes after :)

The Grand Canyon is wonderful place. Early mornings and late afternoons are the best time. Take a stroll along the Rim Path, and you don't have to go that far, to find what it is like to be alone with the Canyon.

Safe travels and go buy another memory card if you are at all worried about taking too many pics. You are going to have soo many amazing photo ops and it would be horrible if you ran out of memory card space. Have fun!

Antelope Canyon is amazing ... be careful with your camera in there, though - there is so much very fine dust that gets kicked up; it can get into the lens and focusing mechanism. There is a photographer's tour that isn't as crowded (might be more expensive) - I did the regular tour, got great shots, and took my lens in for cleaning afterwards without any permanent damage. And bring a tripod. :) That's it. No more unsolicited advice. Safe travels!!
You are about to venture on a great trip, the Western US is magnificent. My favorite is Zion, it is a magical place, but all the other destinations you are heading to are also magnificent. You are heading to dream locations for a photographer so you may need some more memory cards - luckily, they are very inexpensive in the US. Have a great time!
Stephane, You had better bring sooo many memory cards with you. You will be amazed at the beauty you are going to see. I am so excited for you. I'm going to follow you because I can't wait to see what you post. Have a great time here!!!

You will be going through some of the same territory I will be going through in the middle of June. Have fun. You are going to be seeing some great scenery.

Have a fantastic time! I'm sure your photos will be amazing! check out Saguaro National Park in Arizona if you get the chance; the Sonoran Desert is breathtaking!
