However, I've noticed that the alignment is a bit off in the forums - the body of a reply spills a bit over to the right... let's see if I can write enough to get it to do that. xD
Aha yes I did it. xD It also looks like the text is starting too far down, below the profile picture, whereas it should start directly beneath my name... is that right?
BUT ANYWAY yes, I really like the new layout - the big numbers for views/comments/favs, and the fact that we can see how many comments we get now :)
I want to know if you add a photo by someone else to a thread, if they will still get notification of it, you only get their 'name' now, and not the @blahblah too.
I like it too though, its good to see the stats next to each photo : ))
hmm.....(is this the place to voice your opinion on the new layout?) I like it pretty well.....one thing I DON'T really like is how the number of views/favs/comments is in SUCH HUGE type. that really draws attention to something that shouldn't be as big a deal as it is (especially on this site)
@pocketmouse Thanks you're sweet. If Grace thinks the numbers are big, she should see them on my monitor after CNTRL +ing so I can look at it w/o glasses! @gracej Just a little ribbing, no harm, no foul.
@gracej good point - perhaps too much attention drawn to the huge stats at the expense of the photo. I'd rather like to see the photo as large as possible - perhaps the whole top portion of the page.
I also agree with @gracej . What I WOULD like, is to not only be able to see which photos I've faved, but which of MY photos have been faved. Maybe that's already possible, but I haven't figured it out? (And I mean without looking at each picture individually, I know I can see there if one has been faved.)
@m9f9l You have to have an Ace account to be able to see who Faved your shot.. $20 for a year to keep the site alive and running and you get your fav's revealed to you so on your stats it will show at a glance what shots are faved too
The new layout is great - all the changes Ross has made have been super and look 'normal' by the end of the day which I guess means they work and fit really well. However the spilling over the lines will drive me potty. (Ok, pottier)................
I like it :) it's nice and clean, I don't have spilling over lines, either... maybe it's your browser? I do agree that the numbers are a little bit but i don't wear glasses either... :p
yes, the idea of making them looking this way, in the same shape as photos above - is very nice looking, but not sooo large))) yes, it draws the attention, but i prefer when the attention is drawn to the shots (in the calendar above) :-)
....and I just noticed that you can hit flashback on someones photo and it will take you back in time in their project! I know you could do that on your own shots before, but could you do that on other peoples? Is that new?...or was I missing out all this time
I think it all looks good and Ross has done a great job. The one thing I was hoping for was for people who have more than one album, everyone would be able to see a thumnail of our latest pictures from our other albums being shown on our default project page so when people come to our page they can see the thumnails and not have to click on "albums" and then go to the other ones. Oh well, I guess you can't have everhthing. :)
@Scrivna In landscape it does but portrait it doesn't I have to pinch down on every page to fit and some do not zoom down, I have tried the site on all versions of iPad and all you have to pinch down to fit.
@Scrivna Any chance of you adding the possibility to move between photos using the arrow keys on the keyboard as is possible on 500px, flickr, Facebook etc? Thanks.
I just love how Ross @Scrivna listens to us lot - I can see that the stats are much smaller now! @mittens - would love to see that, it's a great idea. I often think that if new people look at a photo on my "other album they might think I didn't post a photo every day....
Not to sure if I miss something - but could anyone please assist as to how I can go back to previous months' uploads - I used to have a "flashback" option! Many thanks
Gosh - already the big numbers are small, the script fits into the margins, the favorite has tactfully changed to fav which pleases everyone. @scrivna you're doing a fantastic job. Thank you :)
Yay forum layout is fixed - and I just wanted to say that Ross @scrivna , this website has always been clean and light and easy to use and - big numbers or small numbers - it always looks great! :)
@francois291059 Francois, you can click on the calendar looking icon above your picture next to the magnifying glass one and it will bring up the month and you can go back from there.
