today a couple of photo buddies & I decided to spend the day driving around looking for old abandoned houses to take photo's of, even though our hubbies all warned us that this may not be a very bright idea! Did we listen? NO!!
Anyway off we went, found one old house sitting in the middle of a paddock surrounded by an electric fence...yep you guessed it, L decided to check if it was on & of course it was!! Lots of laughs, a few photo's & we were off to the next place.
This grand old homestead was a must for us to stop at & this one had no fences so we wandered inside, it was fairly spooky & we were sure we weren't on our own. Suddenly we heard loud talking turned around & there was this extremely large man looming up out of the doorway - holy crap!! Anyway turns out he was from the local psych hospital & was searching for his girlfriend who he said often stays in the house. He was very angry with her because she had been having an affair with the man in 2a. Then he showed his bandaged wrist which he told us he'd cut then sown up himself!! Hearts thumping, we made a hasty retreat!! Consequently we didn't get as many photo's as we would have liked, anyone else been busted where you shouldn't be??
Here's a few of the photo's we took of the house...
Slightly different to yours - I got 'caught/busted' when I took this street shot. I love street photography - candid obviously but this girl showed her displeasure for sure!
@mastermek wish I had snapped a shot of him, also wish someone had snapped a shot of our faces as he appeared...we thought it was a group of them because he was having an in depth conversation with himself :) @paulavdmerwe@megsy tell you what, it's not something I would ever do on my own & I certainly wouldn't recommend it, but we did have a good laugh later as we sat around the bonfire with a stiff drink :)
& @megsy what a great shot...did you have to do a runner with her chasing you?
COUNTRY DECAY
Nothing can match or beat that story. This is an old farmhouse near Uniontown, WA I was trespassing and it does look like someone had been sleeping in this bed. No one busted me, but it was still creepy and scary and i did feel like someone was watching me.
@shirljess fantastic photo's - I hope you weren't on your own! Old places are always a bit creepy & I wouldn't do it on my own...I'm a chicken from way back.
Here is one of someone else being busted though, I did actually have to chase after the police to get this one :)
